Introduction

My name is Sean (he/him) and I’m an intern at Arrive Therapy. I am completing my Master’s of Social Work at Temple University.

I identify as a gay CIS man. My goal is to provide more affordable access to clinical counseling and provide a safe and fun space for individuals, families, and the teen social groups.

About me

I grew up in Downingtown and reside in Eagleville with my husband and our cat. I enjoy traveling, walks, music, festivals, friends, movies, nature, and animals.

Growing up in the area, I used to attend social groups at The Main Line Youth Alliance, which really helped me when I came out and needed community. I think those early positive supports have shaped my desire to work with Arrive Therapy.

Education

I graduated from Penn State in 2010 with a major in Psychology. I will complete my MSW this summer. I have over a decade of social work experience, including five years working in family-based therapy.

I also have previous practicum experience running intensive outpatient group sessions for adults with substance abuse and mental health concerns. I am currently interning at Arrive Therapy to develop social work strategies in successful gender affirming care and LGBTIA advocacy.

What it’s like to see me as a therapist

Even though life might be challenging at times, I think we all possess the strength and resiliency needed to adapt, evolve, and live more satisfying lives. My role is to assist you in achieving your goals in a safe, encouraging, and empathetic environment.
